Maddie peered out from the window of the treehouse, grinning from ear to ear. The treehouse was nestled in the old oak tree in her backyard, built by her grandpa last summer. It was her favorite spot, a place where she and her friends formed the Treehouse Club. 

The club had a special meeting today. They were planning their big summer project: a community garden. The idea was to grow vegetables and flowers, then donate them to the local food bank. Maddie loved that they were doing something to help others. 

Her friends, Zoe and Jack, climbed up the ladder, each carrying a notebook and a pencil. They sat on the colorful bean bags that littered the wooden floor. "Okay, let's make a list of what we need," Maddie said, taking charge as the club president. 

They talked about soil, seeds, gardening tools, and how they could raise money for the supplies. Jack suggested a lemonade stand, while Zoe thought they could also sell homemade bookmarks. 

After making a plan, they decided to ask their families, neighbors, and friends for help. They felt excited about the possibility of making their community a little greener and brighter. 

The meeting ended with a high-five and the club's motto, "Friends who care, share!" Maddie closed her notebook, feeling proud of their little club. They were more than just friends in a treehouse; they were a team ready to make a difference.
