Over 100 years ago, a big ship called the Titanic started its first voyage. The Titanic was known as the largest and most luxurious ship of its time. People said it was unsinkable. This story is about its historic journey and the tragic ending. 

The Titanic was very grand. It had fancy dining rooms, a swimming pool, and even a gymnasium. People from all over the world, including families, businessmen, and famous people, boarded the Titanic. They were excited to travel from England to New York on this magnificent ship. 

The journey started on April 10, 1912. The passengers enjoyed their time on the ship. They ate delicious food, danced to music, and made new friends. For the first few days, the Titanic sailed smoothly across the Atlantic Ocean. 

But on the night of April 14, something terrible happened. The Titanic hit an iceberg. An iceberg is a huge piece of ice floating in the ocean. When the Titanic hit the iceberg, the ship got a big hole in its side. 

Water started to fill the Titanic. The ship that everyone thought was unsinkable began to sink. There were not enough lifeboats for everyone on the ship. This made the situation even more tragic. 

The captain and the crew tried to send out signals for help. Another ship, the Carpathia, heard their signals and came to help. But it was too late for many people. The Titanic sank on April 15, just two hours and forty minutes after hitting the iceberg. 

More than 1,500 people lost their lives that night. The story of the Titanic reminds us of the importance of safety and being prepared for emergencies. Even today, people remember the Titanic as a lesson and a part of history.
